I first saw this artists works forever ago in huge typographic letterforms along the visual scape of Syracuse. His creativity and illustration levels come in on the scouter at 1000! Join in welcoming to the stage, Dan Dippel otherwise known as, 1000 Styles @1000styles!

His accuracy of illustration and knowledge of design principles, color theory, and typographic styling are some of the best around. His moniker 1000 Styles tells no lies, and he’s a master of all of them.

If you have attended a rock concert in the CNY area and picked up a screen print at the show, odds are Dan’s styling was behind it. From Phish to Primus and Metallica to The Foo Fighters he has helped some of the most well-known musical acts of our time give their fans collectible art to hang in their lives.

Doug & Kirstin have been running Retro A Go Go for the last 20 years. We approached them once for a project for our clients Jay & Silent Bob. While that project inevitably never happened the team at Retro A Go Go and the crew at Stay Fresh all surf the same waves. We developed an instant friendship and an appreciation for each other’s art and businesses.

Kirsten and Doug have worked in the field of merchandising, artwork, sculpts and everything cool for longer than Retro has even been around. They hold a superior knowledge of navigating the seas of ideation, and sketches, to production and into the consumers’ hands. They are no stranger to licensing artwork and working with some of the coolest retro names around like Ben Cooper™, Bettie Page™, EC Comics, Disney®, Bella Lugosi,™ Weird-Ohs® and more.

Jesse is most widely recognized for his street art murals, vinyl toys, and diverse Illustration work. His style is known as Urban Aztec, a combination of graffiti and ancient indigenous culture. Hernandez’s artwork has been featured by Marvel, Warner Bros, DC Comics, WWE, Gears of war 4, San Jose Sharks, The Oakland Athletics, X-Box, Playstation, Sideshow Collectibles, Rockstar energy drink, Rolling Stone, Fandango, Juxtapoz, Run the Jewels, Oakland Museum, and the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. Hernandez has shown art in galleries and museums around the world. He has also painted murals in Oakland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mexico city and Amsterdam.

Jesse brings his unique styles to our design conference all the way from Oakland CA. He’ll be talking talk all things art, illustration, processes, and hitting home runs in the major leagues. Join us for a conversation with Jesse that will help you understand how far you can take your art.

Your host for the evening, Tommy has been designing the visual landscape of Central NY for over 20 years. From branding local and national clients to teaching at universities and slapping up public art all over town, Tommy doesn’t sleep. He brings love and professionalism to everything he does and has a goal of making sure Syracuse’s art scene is noticed.
