STAY FRESH’s 31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN: Year Eight, Day Eighteen

Not every Disney princess gets her happily ever after.

For Day 18 of 31 Days of Halloween, Celine Rahman brings us back to the Cave of Wonders with a tribute to Princess Jasmine’s terrifying encounter with Jafar in Disney’s Aladdin. Imprisoned inside a giant hourglass, Jasmine watches helplessly as the sand pours down around her, threatening to bury her alive.

It’s one of those wonderfully dark moments tucked inside a colorful childhood favorite. We wanted to capture that feeling of desperation as the last grains begin to fall, turning a little Disney magic into something much closer to a nightmare.

Stay wicked, fiends.
