The air bends around her, heavy with the scent of myrrh and smoke, the kind of perfume that clings to the soul long after the body flees.
She doesn’t need to chase. She calls. Her voice carries through the dark like a serpent’s whisper, promising knowledge, beauty, power…whatever it takes to make you lean closer.
